" We are offering the world a revolutionary solution for processing all types of waste, whether organic or non-organic. Waste is energy and raw materials which we can no longer afford to squander. With the support of the Communauté urbaine de Dunkerque, of OSEO, and of the European Union (through FEDER funding), we are investing more than one million Euros in Dunkerque laboratory trials which should, in the coming months, prove the validity of our process, which is covered by worldwide patents. The production of electricity from waste materials is carried out in a closed circuit, without any chimney, and is exceptionally energy efficient. Metals and rare gases are recovered. Furthermore, carbon dioxide is captured and can be used to boost the growth of algae, which can produce electricity and/or biofuels.
We have identified 25 strategic activity areas linked to this patent, and they may be more. Ataneo’s ambition is to offer a new paradigm enabling a return to a circular economic model – the only sustainable one – by gradually eliminating the linear economy which is such a powerful contributor to the destruction of the ecosphere."
